Laura Țibulcă is an associate professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Department of Finance. Her academic background is extensive, and it includes two bachelor’s degrees (one in Finance and one in Law) two master’s degrees (one in Corporate Finance and one is Tax Law) and a PhD in Finance with a thesis focused on the impact of taxation on corporations and their financial performance. This makes her uniquely qualified to teach students not only about the economic and financial aspects of business management, but also about the legal implications of investment decisions in general and tax management in particular. Aside from her teaching activities, Laura Țibulcă also supervises and guides students who are in the process of writing their bachelor’s and master’s theses on topics related to corporate finance, taxation and insurance.

Researchwise, Laura has published more than 25 research papers in peer-reviewed journals which are indexed in internationally recognized databases. She has also attended more than 15 international research conferences organized by renown universities, research institutes and professional networks. Her current research focus is sustainability not only at the level of the financial sector, but also at a macroeconomic level, and the effect digitalization, especially new technologies such as blockchain and AI, can have on sustainable economic development.
